Carmen Van Huisstede is a Romanian-British artist working in London. Driven by a passion for sculpture, she successfully earned both a BA and MA in Fine Art: Sculpture at Camberwell College of Art, University of the Arts London.
Carmen’s artistic philosophy revolves around hauntology and materiality, investigating the language of materials and their potential for transformation. Utilising various mediums like sculpture, ceramics, and printmaking, she undertakes diverse projects that follow her growing interest in social activism and ecology.
