Following a passion and fascination with the architecture and buildings of South London, my artwork seeks to build on the relationship between people and their suburban buildings and surroundings.
I work with acrylics on board or canvas, adding varnish where appropriate. Currently at Wimbledon Art Studios I am enjoying the combination and use of Wood/Lino cuts and Stencils.
I have wanted to pursue art since I left school in the 70’s. I completed evening classes in Portraiture and Life Drawing/Painting under Mr Ian Ellis at Sutton Art College and professionally worked as a property surveyor/inspector for a government agency. On retirement, I completed an Art Foundation Course at City and Guilds College, Kennington, plus short courses at Morley College near Waterloo, and Chelsea Art College, London.
I now work at home in Sutton
