Ildiko is a ceramicist who likes to experiment and discover the endless possibilities of clay.
Her hand-built ceramic vessels , wall decoration pieces and ceramic jewellery are characterized by the delicate incorporation of natural textures and meticulous execution, reflecting the techniques she learned in Hungary and honed here in London. Her primary choice of materials is porcelain, black volcanic clay and white stoneware.
In new collection, 'Rivers', the white stoneware provides the stone-like, rustic effect that appears on the surfaces of her works. It is inspired by the view of a landscape unfolding below from a descending airplane, where we can see the tranquil flow of a river in its pebble-lined bed,interspersed with forests and fields in its natural beauty.
