Kit Lintin fine art | studio 164
Kit Lintin is a contemporary oil painter based in London. Drawing inspiration from objects and their ability to evoke the imagination, Kit creates still-life paintings that combine the everyday with the symbolic to form scenes of a surreal nature.
Kit’s practice is informed by the principles and techniques of traditional still-life painters, marrying these qualities with the playful storytelling found in surrealism. Through the careful consideration of each composition Kit embeds feeling into the canvas, revealing the intimate folds of reality, charm in the unexpected and mystery in the shadows. Her paintings are often evocative of a human presence without providing that to the viewer, alluding to moments in time where the narrative is indefinite and still unfolding.
Kit has been commissioned by a range of brands to produce unique artwork for commercial projects, including Burlington Arcade, Champagne Bollinger, and bottle designs for premium drinks brand Pimentae.
