Maria's work has developed into 2D and 3D mixed-media work through experience with painting, drawing, stitch and textile art. Tools can range from a stick….to a computer, finally producing something decorative or quirky in paint, digital print or sculptural.

Her aim is best summed up by quoting Matisse:

“What I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter – a soothing, calming influence on the mind, rather like a good armchair which provides relaxation from physical fatigue.”
