My art practice is an intuitive journey, fuelled by emotion and instinct. It begins with a raw, unfiltered base layer—spontaneous, urgent, and alive. In that initial burst of energy, there’s a raw beauty, a fleeting moment of creation. As I build upon it, the work evolves, and while some of that rawness gives way to control, I’ve learned to embrace this tension as a vital part of the creative process. Trusting my instincts, I take risks, knowing they will lead me to uncharted territories and unexpected discoveries. It’s in this balance between chaos and control that my art finds its voice.

Creating art is a dynamic dialogue—a dance between intuition and medium. I surrender to the process, allowing music, emotion, and the material itself to guide my hands. The canvas becomes a collaborator, a partner in shaping something unique and alive. Abstraction frees the work from rigid boundaries, inviting viewers to bring their own stories and emotions to the experience. This openness is central to my practice, as it fosters a deeper, more personal connection between the art and the audience. My paintings exist in a space between abstraction and figuration, where partially formed figures and organic shapes emerge and dissolve into a fluid, shifting environment. This exploration blurs the line between the conscious and subconscious, creating a timeless, boundaryless world.

Each viewer is invited to uncover their own narrative within the layers of texture, line, and colour, making the experience of the work deeply personal and ever evolving.  Colour and texture are the lifeblood of my art. Every mark I make carries with it memories, emotions, and sensations, weaving together dreamlike landscapes that capture the essence of a moment or place. Each layer tells a story—of transformation, resilience, and the passage of time. Whether through bold, sweeping gestures or delicate, intricate details, my work celebrates the beauty of imperfection, and the strength found in change. Beyond paint, I experiment with mixed media, layering diverse materials to create texture, depth, and light. I draw inspiration from the everyday—cracked pavements, weathered metal, the aging bark of a tree—finding beauty in the overlooked and the ephemeral.

Ultimately, I create art that invites pause, reflection, and emotional engagement. Through texture, colour, and movement, I aim to spark moments of hope, healing, and self-discovery. My goal is not just to create art, but to share inspiration and joy, crafting pieces that resonate on a deeply personal level with those who encounter them. I believe art has the power to transform, to heal, and to connect us to our shared humanity. It is this belief that drives me to create, to explore, and to share my work with the world.
