ROB MURRAY cartoons | studio 309
Rob Murray is one of the UK’s top cartoonists. Since his first cartoon was published in 2008, he has become a regular contributor to Private Eye, The Sunday Times, The Telegraph, The Spectator, and many other magazines and newspapers.
Rob’s topical cartoons have been shortlisted in various categories for the prestigious Political Cartoon of the Year Awards. His work as pocket cartoonist for the Press & Journal newspaper was recognised three years running at the Scottish Press Awards. He has appeared multiple times on ITV’s breakfast television show, Good Morning Britain, and has been interviewed on BBC Radio.
Since 2014, Rob has drawn a large-scale cartoon every week for the Money section of The Sunday Times. As well as contributing his own gag cartoons to Private Eye, he works regularly as an illustrator for the magazine, bringing many of its parody pieces to life.
Rob has illustrated bestselling humour and non-fiction books for the likes of Penguin Random House, and produces cartoons for use in advertising campaigns. Corporate clients have included Heathrow Airport, Timothy Taylor’s Ales, M&G Investments and Saatchi & Saatchi.
Rob’s cartoons have also appeared in The Oldie, Prospect, The Critic, History Today, Reader’s Digest (UK & US), Viz, The Week, Saga Magazine, The Sun, The Daily Mail, the i newspaper, and too many obscure special-interest titles to count.
Alongside his print deadlines, Rob is always happy to discuss private commissions, and to sell his published pen & ink drawings. Feel free to get in touch!
